.. is one of the simplest and easy to use PHP based file browsers or file managers out there, and its free.
Because of this, PHP Navigator is also quite easy to extend, which is what this site is dedicated to ..
 PHP Navigator 4.12 is an
extended version of v4.00, based on the version 3.21 update I did around March 2007. There are quite a few asthetic improvements (look and feel), mostly to do with CSS, layout and functionality. There are also some heavy
backend (PHP) additions and fixes, like folder zipping issues, giving ToolTip info for images, thumbnail generation of .bmp bitmaps and recursive folder copy, to name a few. Oh and the full page text editor, which is really what started it all. The
other reason for this version is that v4.00 was the last version to be single user (ie. with one login), and as such I feel it is worth maintaining, as Cyril is off to higher ground with his new MySQL based multi-user versions.

 PHP Navigator 4.32 is the
latest multi-user version of v4.00, which now has new icons and also incorporates some of the changes that are present in my v4.12. The multi-user system is based around MySQL, so it works on both Linux and Windows based servers. If you are looking for a file manager that can deal with a multiple user environment, PHP
Navigator v4.32 is what you are looking for. Although stable, the multi-user options are being extended to give the admin more flexibility over user choices, and the hidden functionality developed for roFileWalker need to be added, along with the new skinning & search options in v4.12 .. (download)
 PHP Navigator 3.21 is the
original version I began updating around March 2007. The update I provide here is a patch to v3.21, that means you unzip the update over the top of your current instalation of v3.20 or v3.21. Just a reminder to copy you config.php before you apply the update, mostly for your user name and to compare to
the new config present in the update. Its basicially here as a comparision to the improvements I have made with v4.12 and the changes that have happened with the development of the new v4.20 multi-user version ..(download)
